Fuente: FCDS\/RFN\/AAF.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>El aumento en el proceso de deforestaci\u00f3n contin\u00faa en el noroeste de la <strong>Amazon\u00eda Colombiana<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2019\/colombia-2018-esp\/\">MAAP #97<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>En el 2018, esta zona experiment\u00f3 la p\u00e9rdida de 199 mil hect\u00e1reas de bosque,* resultando ser el <strong>hotspot de deforestaci\u00f3n<\/strong> m\u00e1s concentrado de toda la Amazon\u00eda occidental (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2019\/amazonia-occidental-2018\/\">MAAP #100<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>En el presente reporte, proveemos una actualizaci\u00f3n en tiempo real del <strong>2019,<\/strong> con base en las alertas tempranas GLAD.** Estas alertas indican la p\u00e9rdida de <strong>56.3 mil hect\u00e1reas<\/strong> en los primeros cinco meses del 2019 (enero a mayo) en la<strong> Amazon\u00eda Colombiana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>Mapa Base<\/strong> (ver abajo) muestra que los <strong>hotspots de deforestaci\u00f3n<\/strong> est\u00e1n concentrados en el noroeste de la Amazon\u00eda colombiana, alrededor de los Parques Nacionales Chiribiquete, Tinigua y Macarena, y la Reserva Nacional Nukak.<\/p>\n<p>A continuaci\u00f3n, nos enfocamos en el <strong>Parque Nacional Natural Serran\u00eda de Chiribiquete<\/strong>, mostrando <strong>im\u00e1genes satelitales<\/strong> y <b>fotograf\u00edas <\/b>de un sobrevuelo (cortes\u00eda de <a href=\"https:\/\/fcds.org.co\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n Conservaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo<\/a>).***<\/p>\n<p>Estimamos la deforestaci\u00f3n de <strong>2.2 mil hect\u00e1reas<\/strong> al interior del Parque desde su expansi\u00f3n en julio del 2018.<\/p>\n<p>El principal <strong>motor (driver)<\/strong> de la deforestaci\u00f3n en la regi\u00f3n es la conversi\u00f3n a pastos para el acaparamiento de tierras y la ganader\u00eda.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_8206\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/HSMapaBase_ColAmz_May2019_350dpi_v3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8206 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/HSMapaBase_ColAmz_May2019_350dpi_v3-742x580.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"742\" height=\"580\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Mapa Base. Fuente: FCDS\/RFN\/AAF.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Un <a href=\"http:\/\/documentacion.ideam.gov.co\/openbiblio\/bvirtual\/023856\/17_BoletinAT-D.pdf\">informe reciente<\/a> del IDEAM (Instituto de Hidrolog\u00eda, Meteorolog\u00eda y Estudios Ambientales), una instituci\u00f3n p\u00fablica que genera informaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica sobre el medio ambiente de Colombia, caracteriza la situaci\u00f3n en esta zona (del Zoom A) de la siguiente manera:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn esta zona, el proceso de colonizaci\u00f3n es acelerado, ocasionando una demanda creciente de recursos y nuevas tierras, que es incentivada por la reconfiguraci\u00f3n de grupos armados organizados y por la ausencia de control estatal a escala local. Los pastizales constituyen la principal cobertura a la cual se transforma el bosque, destinados a la actividad ganadera o a la usurpaci\u00f3n de tierras. Esta transformaci\u00f3n se ve potenciada a trav\u00e9s de la red vial terciaria de la zona, que permite el acceso a nuevas \u00e1reas de bosque y a las quemas como m\u00e9todo de remoci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida de la cobertura. El n\u00facleo cuenta tambi\u00e9n con cultivos de uso il\u00edcito.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Zoom B: <\/strong><strong>Chiribiquete Norte<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>El <strong>Zoom B<\/strong> muestra la deforestaci\u00f3n al interior de la secci\u00f3n norte del Parque Nacional Chiribiquete (zona de la reciente ampliaci\u00f3n) entre febrero del 2018 (panel izquierdo) y abril del 2019 (panel derecho). Fuente: FCDS\/RFN\/AAF.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Un <a href=\"http:\/\/documentacion.ideam.gov.co\/openbiblio\/bvirtual\/023856\/17_BoletinAT-D.pdf\">informe reciente<\/a> del IDEAM caracteriza la situaci\u00f3n en esta zona (del Zoom B) de la siguiente manera:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComo es generalizado en la regi\u00f3n amaz\u00f3nica, la principal actividad que dinamiza la transformaci\u00f3n de los bosques en el n\u00facleo es el establecimiento de pastizales, con fines de usurpaci\u00f3n de tierras o para actividades ganaderas.<\/p>\n<p>Esta transformaci\u00f3n es, generalmente, financiada por actores externos, cuya principal motivaci\u00f3n es la expectativa de valorizaci\u00f3n de tierras y generaci\u00f3n de rentas.<\/p>\n<p>Los actores armados presentes en la zona promueven el desarrollo de actividades agr\u00edcolas de uso il\u00edcito, as\u00ed como la expansi\u00f3n de infraestructura vial informal, que afecta a los bosques al facilitar el acceso para su intervenci\u00f3n.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Notas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>*Incluyendo 154 mil hect\u00e1reas de bosques primarios. El incremento de la deforestaci\u00f3n se inici\u00f3 en el 2016.<\/p>\n<p>**Las alertas GLAD, basadas en im\u00e1genes Landsat de 30 m de resoluci\u00f3n, son producidas por la Universidad de Maryland y presentadas por Global Forest Watch.
