Datos: Planet.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Empezamos una nueva serie de reportes de c\u00f3mo aprovechar el poder de <strong>la nube<\/strong> (de internet) para mejorar el monitoreo en tiempo real de la Amazon\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>La cantidad de datos de las im\u00e1genes satelitales se ha incrementado, as\u00ed como los desaf\u00edos de los equipos de investigaci\u00f3n para utilizar esta informaci\u00f3n pesada (en t\u00e9rminos de terabytes).<\/p>\n<p>En respuesta, empresas tecnol\u00f3gicas como <strong>Google, Amazon, y Microsoft<\/strong> han estado ofreciendo su poderosa tecnolog\u00eda inform\u00e1tica v\u00eda internet para procesar, analizar, mostrar y almacenar datos.<\/p>\n<p>Aqu\u00ed presentamos a <strong>Google Earth Engine<\/strong>, el cual es dise\u00f1ado para el procesamiento de informaci\u00f3n geoespacial (incluyendo im\u00e1genes satelitales) y la publicaci\u00f3n de resultados en aplicaciones web.<\/p>\n<p>En nuestro primer ejemplo, mostramos el poder de Google Earth Engine para ayudar con el<strong> monitoreo de los incendios en la Amazon\u00eda boliviana. <\/strong>Como se muestra en nuestros <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2019\/fuegos_parte2\/\">reportes previos<\/a>, la temporada de fuegos en Bolivia ha sido intensa, con numerosos incendios en los bosques secos Amaz\u00f3nicos.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente hay una necesidad urgente de monitorear los <strong>fuegos activos <\/strong>en tiempo real, \u00a0y as\u00ed asistir en el continuo esfuerzo del manejo de fuegos a nivel nacional. En respuesta, hemos desarrollado la aplicaci\u00f3n descrita a continuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>El aplicativo \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/luciovilla.users.earthengine.app\/view\/monitoring-amazon-fires\">Amazon Fires \u2013 Bolivia<\/a>\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_8601\" class=\"thumbnail alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/maaproject.org-maap-111-fires-in-the-bolivian-amazon-using-google-earth-engine-to-monitor-app-ss.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8601\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/maaproject.org-maap-111-fires-in-the-bolivian-amazon-using-google-earth-engine-to-monitor-app-ss-930x455.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"688\" height=\"337\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Captura de pantalla de la aplicaci\u00f3n \u201cAmazon Fires \u2013 Bolivia\u201d<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Desarrollamos el aplicativo <strong>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/luciovilla.users.earthengine.app\/view\/monitoring-amazon-fires\">Amazon Fires \u2013 Bolivia<\/a>\u201d<\/strong>que permite a los usuarios acceder y analizar f\u00e1cilmente un archivo de recientes im\u00e1genes satelitales de los fuegos en la Amazon\u00eda boliviana, en tiempo casi real.<\/p>\n<p>Espec\u00edficamente, el usuario puede comparar <strong>datos de aerosol <\/strong>(del sat\u00e9lite Sentinel-5), que hacen un muy buen trabajo al resaltar la ubicaci\u00f3n de los fuegos activos, con <strong>im\u00e1genes recientes de 5 sat\u00e9lites diferentes <\/strong>(Terra, Aqua, Suomi, Sentinel-2 y Sentinel-1 radar).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recomendamos<\/strong> visualizar los datos de aerosol en el panel izquierdo y las im\u00e1genes m\u00e1s recientes en el panel derecho.<\/p>\n<p>Los <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/Our_Activities\/Observing_the_Earth\/Copernicus\/Sentinel-5P\/Monitoring_air_pollution_from_fires\">Datos de Aerosol<\/a><\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tropomi.eu\/data-products\/uv-aerosol-index\">Ultraviolet Aerosol Index<\/a>) hacen un muy buen trabajo de exactitud y precisi\u00f3n al resaltar la ubicaci\u00f3n de fuegos activos, porque est\u00e1n mostrando las emisiones actuales (contaminantes) de los fuegos (contrario a los datos de alertas de fuego comunes que detectan anomal\u00edas generales de temperatura, no fuegos en s\u00ed). Cabe destacar que puede ser calculado en presencia de nubes, as\u00ed que la diaria cobertura global es posible. Esta aplicaci\u00f3n representa uno de los primeros usos cruciales de los datos de aerosol de Sentinel-5P para detectar fuegos en tiempo real.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Rojos<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0indican los niveles m\u00e1s altos de aerosol (y probablemente los incendios grandes), seguido de anaranjado,\u00a0amarillo,\u00a0verde,\u00a0celeste,\u00a0morado,\u00a0azul oscuro y negro.<\/p>\n<p>Note que, si aplica el <em>zoom out<\/em>, los datos de aerosol tambi\u00e9n cubren mucho de la <strong>Amazon\u00eda brasilera.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, las im\u00e1genes nuevas al ser a\u00f1adidas al conjunto de datos de Google Earth Engine, se a\u00f1aden autom\u00e1ticamente a la aplicaci\u00f3n (con atraso de un d\u00eda o dos), pero durante las temporadas cr\u00edticas, a\u00f1adiremos las im\u00e1genes manualmente, a diario.<\/p>\n<p>Esperamos que los actores relevantes, incluyendo el gobierno y equipos de bomberos, puedan usar esta informaci\u00f3n para atender los fuegos de la mejor manera.<\/p>\n<p>Link al aplicativo \u201cAmazon Fires \u2013 Bolivia\u201d:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/luciovilla.users.earthengine.app\/view\/monitoring-amazon-fires\"><strong>https:\/\/luciovilla.users.earthengine.app\/view\/monitoring-amazon-fires<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Gu\u00eda de Im\u00e1genes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La aplicaci\u00f3n muestra im\u00e1genes en color natural.
