Datos: Hansen\/UMD\/Google\/USGS\/NASA, UMD\/GLAD. *Hasta junio del 2020.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>En el presente reporte, presentamos un <strong>primer vistazo del 2020<\/strong> a la deforestaci\u00f3n de bosque primario en la<strong> Amazon\u00eda colombiana, <\/strong>en relaci\u00f3n con los nuevos datos anuales del <strong>2019<\/strong>.*<\/p>\n<p>Los datos confirman que la deforestaci\u00f3n\u00a0<strong>disminuy\u00f3 en el 2019 <\/strong>(91.4 mil hect\u00e1reas) despu\u00e9s de un pico en el<strong> 2018 <\/strong>(153.9 mil hect\u00e1reas).<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>Cuadro 1<\/strong> muestra la <strong>tendencia reciente<\/strong>: un gran incremento despu\u00e9s del acuerdo de paz del 2016 (entre el Gobierno colombiano y las FARC) con un pico en el 2018, seguido de una disminuci\u00f3n en el 2019.<\/p>\n<p>En nuestro primer vistazo al <strong>2020<\/strong>, estimamos la deforestaci\u00f3n de <strong>76.2 mil<\/strong> hect\u00e1reas hasta junio.<\/p>\n<p>Note que hemos documentado la deforestaci\u00f3n de <strong>444 mil hect\u00e1reas<\/strong> de bosque primario en la Amazon\u00eda colombiana en los \u00faltimos cuatro a\u00f1os desde el acuerdo de paz.<\/p>\n<p>*Global Forest Watch acaba de publicar los datos anuales de p\u00e9rdida de bosques para el 2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Hotspots de Deforestaci\u00f3n &#8211; 2020<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_9091\" class=\"thumbnail alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/maaproject.org-maap-deforestacion-en-la-amazonia-colombiana-2020-HS-ColAmz-2020Jun1-200dpi-v4-Spa.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9091\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/maaproject.org-maap-deforestacion-en-la-amazonia-colombiana-2020-HS-ColAmz-2020Jun1-200dpi-v4-Spa-741x580.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"730\" height=\"571\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Mapa Base. Datos: UMD\/GLAD, RUNAP, RAISG.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>El <strong>Mapa Base<\/strong>\u00a0muestra los <strong>hotspots de deforestaci\u00f3n<\/strong> en el 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Como en a\u00f1os anteriores, est\u00e1n concentrados en un \u00ab<strong>arco de deforestaci\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00bb al noroeste de la\u00a0Amazon\u00eda colombiana.<\/p>\n<p>Este arco incluye <strong>cuatro\u00a0\u00e1reas protegidas<\/strong> (los Parques Nacionales Tinigua, Serran\u00eda de Chiribiquete y Sierra de la Macarena, y la Reserva Nacional Nukak) que perdieron <strong>7.7\u00a0mil hect\u00e1reas<\/strong> de bosque primario en lo que va del 2020 (ver el Cuadro 2).<\/p>\n<p>El Parque Nacional\u00a0<strong>Tinigua<\/strong> es el \u00e1rea protegida m\u00e1s impactada con una deforestaci\u00f3n de 5.1 mil hect\u00e1reas. Datos: Hansen\/UMD\/Google\/USGS\/NASA, UMD\/GLAD.<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Metodolog\u00eda<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Utilizamos los datos generados por el\u00a0<a class=\"external external_icon\" href=\"https:\/\/glad.umd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">laboratorio GLAD<\/a>\u00a0de la Universidad de Maryland, disponibles en el sitio web de\u00a0<a class=\"external external_icon\" href=\"https:\/\/www.globalforestwatch.org\/map\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Global Forest Watch<\/a>. Los datos de los a\u00f1os 2015-18 son de p\u00e9rdida anual. Los datos de los a\u00f1os 2019-20 son una estimaci\u00f3n basada en alertas tempranas. Cabe mencionar que algunos datos registrados a principios del a\u00f1o pueden ser consecuencia de la deforestaci\u00f3n a fines del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n<p>Las zonas analizadas se encuentran estrictamente dentro del l\u00edmite Amaz\u00f3nico biogeogr\u00e1fico en el \u00e1rea resaltada en el Mapa Base.<\/p>\n<p>Las cifras estimadas como p\u00e9rdida de bosque son el resultado de la multiplicaci\u00f3n del \u00e1rea de los datos anuales de \u201cp\u00e9rdida de cobertura forestal\u201d (<em>forest cover loss<\/em>) por el porcentaje de densidad de \u201ccobertura arb\u00f3rea\u201d (<em>tree cover<\/em>) del a\u00f1o 2000 (valores &gt; 30%). La incorporaci\u00f3n de los datos de cobertura arb\u00f3rea 2000 permite mirar el \u00e1rea precisa de cada p\u00edxel, mejorando los resultados y haci\u00e9ndolos m\u00e1s precisos.<\/p>\n<p>Para estimar las cifras de la p\u00e9rdida de\u00a0<strong>bosque primario<\/strong>\u00a0(Turubanova et al 2018), se intersect\u00f3 los datos de \u201cbosque primario h\u00famedo tropical\u201d (<em>primary humid tropical forests<\/em>) del a\u00f1o 2001 con los datos de \u201cp\u00e9rdida de cobertura forestal\u201d (<em>forest cover loss<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Todos los datos fueron procesados bajo el sistema de coordenadas geogr\u00e1fico D\u00e1tum WGS 1984. Para calcular las \u00e1reas en unidades m\u00e9tricas se utiliz\u00f3 la proyecci\u00f3n MAGNA-Bogota.<\/p>\n<p>Para identificar los hotspots de deforestaci\u00f3n realizamos una estimaci\u00f3n de densidad kernel, un an\u00e1lisis que calcula la magnitud por unidad de \u00e1rea de un fen\u00f3meno particular, en este caso la p\u00e9rdida de cobertura forestal. Se utiliz\u00f3 la herramienta Densidad Kernel del software ArcGis y se consider\u00f3 los siguientes par\u00e1metros:<\/p>\n<p>Radio de b\u00fasqueda: 15000 unidades de estrato (metros).<br \/>\nFunci\u00f3n de Densidad de Kernel: kernel de cuarto grado.<br \/>\nTama\u00f1o de celda en el mapa: 200 x 200 metros (4 hect\u00e1reas).<br \/>\nTodo lo dem\u00e1s lo dejamos en la configuraci\u00f3n predeterminada.<\/p>\n<p>Para el Mapa Base, usamos los siguientes porcentajes de concentraci\u00f3n: Medio: 10%-25%; Alto: 25%-50%; Muy Alto: &gt;50%.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Agradecimientos<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Agradecemos a R.
