{"id":21180,"date":"2016-08-22T13:06:00","date_gmt":"2016-08-22T13:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/plantaciones-de-pucallpa\/"},"modified":"2024-09-24T20:59:13","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T20:59:13","slug":"plantaciones-de-pucallpa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/es\/plantaciones-de-pucallpa\/","title":{"rendered":"MAAP #41: Palma Aceitera en Ucayali- Deforestaci\u00f3n por la empresa Plantaciones de Pucallpa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>En el anterior <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2015\/imagen-4-proyectos-de-aceite-de-palma-deforestan-el-bosque-primario-de-la-amazonia-peruana-primera-parte-nueva-requena\/\"><strong>MAAP #4<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0publicamos informaci\u00f3n sobre la deforestaci\u00f3n\u00a0de 6,464 hect\u00e1reas (8,855 campos de f\u00fatbol)\u00a0entre el 2011 y 2015,\u00a0en el proyecto de\u00a0<strong>palma aceitera\u00a0a gran escala<\/strong>, en la regi\u00f3n Ucayali ejecutado por la empresa <strong>Plantaciones de Pucallpa<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, encontramos que la mayor\u00eda de la deforestaci\u00f3n ocurri\u00f3 en bosques primarios<sup>1<\/sup>,\u00a0y tambi\u00e9n hubo p\u00e9rdida de vegetaci\u00f3n\u00a0secundaria.<\/p>\n<p>En diciembre del 2015, la Comunidad Nativa Santa Clara de Uchunya present\u00f3 una demanda oficial a la Mesa Redonda sobre la Palma Aceitera Sostenible (<em><strong>RSPO<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0por su sigla en ingl\u00e9s) en contra de Plantaciones de Pucallpa (miembro actual de la RSPO). Un componente importante de la denuncia trata\u00a0de la deforestaci\u00f3n mencionada l\u00edneas arriba. Sin embargo, la empresa ha negado repetidamente dicha deforestaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Para entender mejor la deforestaci\u00f3n en cuesti\u00f3n, en el <strong>presente MAAP<\/strong>\u00a0comparamos <strong>tres<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>im\u00e1genes satelitales de alta resoluci\u00f3n: 1)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>julio del 2010<\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a0imagen en color m\u00e1s reciente\u00a0antes el inicio de la deforestaci\u00f3n a gran escala en mayo del 2012; <strong>2) junio del 2012<\/strong>, imagen en blanco y negro del\u00a0per\u00edodo de inicio\u00a0de la deforestaci\u00f3n a gran escala; 3)\u00a0<strong>septiembre del 2015<\/strong>, imagen mostrando\u00a0la plantaci\u00f3n instalada\u00a0de palma aceitera.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Imagen 41a <\/strong>muestra el <strong>mapa de base<\/strong> del\u00a0\u00e1rea del proyecto\u00a0en julio del 2010 (panel izquierdo), junio del 2012 (panel central), y septiembre del 2015 (panel derecho).
