Fuente: UMD.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>La<strong> misi\u00f3n GEDI de la NASA<\/strong> utiliza l\u00e1seres para brindar estimaciones de la biomasa sobre el suelo y el carbono relacionado, a escala global.<\/p>\n<p>Lanzado a finales del 2018 e instalado en la Estaci\u00f3n Espacial Internacional, los l\u00e1seres de GEDI devuelven una estimaci\u00f3n de la<strong> densidad de la biomasa<\/strong> <strong>sobre el suelo<\/strong> con mayor precisi\u00f3n y resoluci\u00f3n que la disponible anteriormente.<\/p>\n<p>En el presente reporte, nos enfocamos en la <strong>Amazon\u00eda<\/strong> y damos un primer vistazo a los datos recientemente disponibles (Nivel 4B): Densidad de Biomasa sobre el Suelo, medida en megagramos por hect\u00e1rea (Mg\/ha) con una resoluci\u00f3n de 1 kil\u00f3metro.<\/p>\n<p>Consulte la <a href=\"https:\/\/gedi.umd.edu\/\">p\u00e1gina web de GEDI <\/a>para mayor informaci\u00f3n sobre la misi\u00f3n, que se prolongar\u00e1 hasta enero del 2023.
