Una de las hip\u00f3tesis para explicarla fue una fuerte sequ\u00eda que permiti\u00f3 el escape de fuegos asociados con pr\u00e1cticas agrarias. Para investigar, el presente reporte analiza la din\u00e1mica entre los <strong>fuegos<\/strong> y la <strong>precipitaci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/strong>durante los \u00faltimos 15 a\u00f1os, encontrando una <strong>fuerte correlaci\u00f3n\u00a0temporal<\/strong> (Imagen 62a). Datos: TRMM, FIRMS\/NASA, PNCB\/MINAM, GLAD\/UMD<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Fuego y Lluvia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La <strong>Imagen 62a<\/strong>\u00a0(ver arriba) compara datos obtenidos de sensores satelitales para fuegos (medidos por focos de calor) y precipitaci\u00f3n. Cabe enfatizar que los 3 a\u00f1os con <strong>menor precipitaci\u00f3n<\/strong> (2005, 2010 y 2016) se correlacionan con <strong>altos niveles de fuegos<\/strong> (ver l\u00edneas rosadas)*. Asimismo, los a\u00f1os con mayor precipitaci\u00f3n (2006 y 2014) se correlacionan con niveles de fuegos m\u00e1s reducidos. Por lo tanto, los datos indican una fuerte correlaci\u00f3n entre los fuegos y la precipitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Las excepciones del 2007 y 2012, en donde hubo picos de fuegos a pesar de los niveles de precipitaci\u00f3n relativamente altos, pueden ser explicados por los grandes proyectos de palma aceitera que gener\u00f3\u00a0muchos fuegos\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2015\/imagen16-shanusi\/\">MAAP #16<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2016\/plantaciones-de-pucallpa\/\">MAAP #41<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>*Ver el Anexo para mayor informaci\u00f3n sobre la importancia del incremento de d\u00edas secos, durante el 2005, 2010 y 2016.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Fuego y P\u00e9rdida de Bosque<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_5781\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fuegos_Deforestacion_2001_2016_v5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5781 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fuegos_Deforestacion_2001_2016_v5-1500x1026.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"715\" height=\"489\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Imagen 62b. Los cuadros indican algunos de los hotspots en com\u00fan entre las dos variables.<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div><\/p>\n<h3><strong>V\u00ednculo entre Fuego, Lluvia, y P\u00e9rdida de Bosque<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_5780\" class=\"thumbnail alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5780\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/image3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"442\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Imagen 62c.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Existe una relaci\u00f3n entre las tres variables: fuego, lluvia, y p\u00e9rdida de bosque.<\/p>\n<p>En investigaciones realizadas en otras \u00e1reas de la Amazon\u00eda, se ha encontrado que el incremento\u00a0de sequ\u00edas aument\u00f3\u00a0el material combustible en el bosque (Referencias 1, 2, 3).<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, como ilustrado en la <strong>Imagen 62c<\/strong>, la reducci\u00f3n de la precipitaci\u00f3n resulta en un incremento de material combustible que facilita las condiciones para incendios forestales y deforestaci\u00f3n, que por \u00faltimo resulta en un incremento en la p\u00e9rdida de bosque.<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Incremento de D\u00edas Secos\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_5956\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Imagen_Dry_days_4-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5956\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Imagen_Dry_days_4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"842\" height=\"433\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Imagen 62d: Datos: NASA\/IGP (Referencia 6).<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Durante los a\u00f1os 2005, 2010 y 2016, que presentaron bajos niveles de precipitaci\u00f3n anual, tambi\u00e9n se increment\u00f3 el n\u00famero de d\u00edas secos, definido como 24 horas sin precipitaci\u00f3n. La extensi\u00f3n de d\u00edas secos produce la mortalidad de especies forestales, consecuentemente generando material inflamable (Referencias 4-5).<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Imagen 62d<\/strong> muestra una comparaci\u00f3n de la evoluci\u00f3n de la frecuencia de d\u00edas secos durante el 2016 en dos cuencas de la Amazon\u00eda peruana (r\u00edos Ucayali y Amazonas).\u00a0El n\u00famero de d\u00edas secos durante el 2016\u00a0fue muy similar a las condiciones reportadas durante el 2005 y 2010 (sequ\u00edas hist\u00f3ricas) para ambas cuencas.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, el Instituto Geofisico del Per\u00fa (IGP), viene monitoreando en tiempo real la frecuencia de d\u00edas secos, como parte de un estudio sobre de eventos extremos hidrol\u00f3gicos en la Amazonia. El monitoreo de la frecuencia de d\u00edas secos corresponde a una variable relevante las condiciones vegetativas y la actividad fotosint\u00e9tica del bosque amaz\u00f3nico durante sequ\u00edas extremas y puede ser un indicador de riesgo ante incendios forestales.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Referencias<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1.
