Datos: PNCB\/MINAM, UMD\/GLAD<\/div><\/div>\n<p>En los anteriores <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2016\/hotspots-deforestacion2012-2014\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MAAP #25<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2016\/hotspots-2015\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MAAP #26<\/a>, presentamos mapas de hotspots de deforestaci\u00f3n en la Amazonia peruana para los periodos 2012-2014 y 2015*, respectivamente. En el <strong>presente MAAP #32<\/strong>, presentamos un an\u00e1lisis complementario basado\u00a0en el tama\u00f1o de los eventos de deforestaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>Cuadro 32a<\/strong> muestra los resultados comparativos de la deforestaci\u00f3n entre los a\u00f1os 2013 y 2015, indicando que:<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>Peque\u00f1a-escala<\/strong> (&lt; 5 hect\u00e1reas) represent\u00f3 la gran mayor\u00eda de los eventos de deforestaci\u00f3n (70-80%) cada a\u00f1o.<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>M<\/strong><strong>ediana-escala<\/strong> (5-50 hect\u00e1reas) fue de\u00a0aproximadamente 20% cada a\u00f1o.<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>G<\/strong><strong>ran-escala<\/strong>\u00a0(&gt;50 hect\u00e1reas) fue variable. En 2013, el a\u00f1o de mayor actividad de las nuevas plantaciones de cacao y palma aceitera, alcanz\u00f3 el 8% de los eventos de deforestaci\u00f3n. En 2015 fue solo 1%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>En resumen<\/strong>, la deforestaci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1a y mediana-escala representa mas de 90% del total y una amenaza constante, mientras que\u00a0la deforestaci\u00f3n de gran-escala representa una amenaza latente.\u00a0Como se describe abajo, proyectos de gran-escala\u00a0pueden ser causantes de eventos de deforestacion masiva y r\u00e1pida (como visto en 2013), entonces debe\u00a0seguir siendo una alta prioridad.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<p>*Hemos aumentado la estimaci\u00f3n de deforestaci\u00f3n para 2015 a 163.238 hect\u00e1reas (equivalente a 223.600 campos de f\u00fatbol),\u00a0la segunda m\u00e1s alta registrada desde el a\u00f1o 2000 (s\u00f3lo por detr\u00e1s del 2014). Esta\u00a0 estimaci\u00f3n se basa en\u00a0las alertas GLAD, producidas por\u00a0Universidad de Maryland, Google, y Global Forest Watch.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Mapa Base<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La <strong>Imagen 32a<\/strong> muestra, en forma gr\u00e1fica, los patrones descritos arriba de la deforestaci\u00f3n para el 2013 (panel izquierdo) y 2015 (panel derecho). En general, se puede observar el patr\u00f3n de deforestaci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1a-escala a lo largo de los r\u00edos de Loreto. En adici\u00f3n, para 2013, se puede ver eventos de la <strong>deforestaci\u00f3n de gran-escala<\/strong> para un proyecto de cacao ubicado al sureste de la ciudad de Iquitos (ver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2016\/cacao-peru-norte\/\">MAAP #27<\/a> para m\u00e1s detalles) y para plantaciones de palma aceitera ubicadas a lo largo de la frontera de las regiones Loreto y San Martin (ver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2015\/imagen16-shanusi\/\">MAAP #16<\/a> para m\u00e1s detalles). En general, se puede observar una <strong>gran cantidad de deforestaci\u00f3n a peque\u00f1a y mediana-escala<\/strong> entre noroeste Ucayali y sureste Hu\u00e1nuco.
