Datos: IDEAM, UMD\/GFW<\/div><\/div>\n<p>El ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible de Colombia anunci\u00f3 recientemente que, despu\u00e9s de que el pa\u00eds experimentara en 2023 su deforestaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s baja en m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os, la tala de bosques aument\u00f3 un 35% en 2024 (<strong>Gr\u00e1fico 1<\/strong>).<sup>1 <\/sup>Adem\u00e1s, el ministerio inform\u00f3 de un aumento de la tala de tama\u00f1o medio, lo que indica operaciones relativamente organizadas y financiadas.<\/p>\n<p>En los \u00faltimos 10 a\u00f1os, el 60% de la deforestaci\u00f3n nacional ha ocurrido en la <strong>Amazon\u00eda colombiana<\/strong>. Datos: ACA\/MAAP, FCDS.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>En el presente reporte, destacamos la reciente deforestaci\u00f3n del 2024-25 en dos \u00e1reas clave en el n\u00facleo de la Amazon\u00eda colombiana: El <strong>Parque Nacional Natural Serran\u00eda de Chiribiquete<\/strong> y el <strong>Resguardo Ind\u00edgena Llanos del Yar\u00ed &#8211; Yaguar\u00e1 II<\/strong>. Vea el <strong>Mapa Base<\/strong> para el contexto.<\/p>\n<p>Estas zonas se ven afectadas por varias <strong>presiones de deforestaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, como la expansi\u00f3n de caminos e infraestructura vial, la ganader\u00eda extensiva, la expansi\u00f3n de los pastizales, el acaparamiento de tierras y cultivos il\u00edcitos (coca). Estas presiones a menudo interact\u00faan, ya que los caminos de acceso facilitan la ganader\u00eda y la expansi\u00f3n de pastos, y a su vez facilitan el acaparamiento de tierras.<\/p>\n<p>Estos impulsores (<em>drivers<\/em>) han llevado a la deforestaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 7,100 hect\u00e1reas en el Parque Nacional Natural Serran\u00eda de Chiribiquete desde su m\u00e1s reciente ampliaci\u00f3n en el 2018 (ver <strong>Anexo 1<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Recientemente, estimamos la deforestaci\u00f3n de <strong>525 hect\u00e1reas<\/strong> en el Parque Nacional Natural Serran\u00eda de Chiribiquete (concentradas en el sector norte) durante 2024-25, m\u00e1s <strong>856 hect\u00e1reas <\/strong>adicionales en el Resguardo Ind\u00edgena Llanos del Yar\u00ed &#8211; Yaguar\u00e1 II (ver Mapa Base). Note que la mayor parte de la deforestaci\u00f3n se da por las v\u00edas de acceso.<\/p>\n<p>A continuaci\u00f3n, mostramos los <strong>casos clave y\u00a0 recientes de deforestaci\u00f3n<\/strong> en ambas \u00e1reas, resaltando el papel de las v\u00edas de acceso como facilitadoras de la actividad ilegal. Estos estudios de caso incluyen <strong>im\u00e1genes satelitales y fotograf\u00edas de sobrevuelos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Cualquier deforestaci\u00f3n en estas zonas es digna de menci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo por su impacto en los bosques primarios, la biodiversidad y los grupos Ind\u00edgenas, sino tambi\u00e9n en las reservas de <strong>carbono<\/strong>.
