Dados: Hansen\/UMD\/Google\/USGS\/NASA<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Continuamos nosso foco na\u00a0<strong>Amaz\u00f4nia noroeste colombiana<\/strong>\u00a0*, um dos\u00a0<strong>pontos mais intensos de desmatamento<\/strong>\u00a0na Amaz\u00f4nia ocidental (ver\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/2019\/west_amazon\/\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">MAAP# 100<\/a>\u00a0).<\/p>\n<p>Aqui\u00a0, analisamos dados de desmatamento nos \u00faltimos\u00a0<strong>cinco anos (2015-19)<\/strong>\u00a0para entender melhor as tend\u00eancias e padr\u00f5es atuais.<\/p>\n<p>Encontramos um grande aumento no desmatamento a partir de 2016. A Amaz\u00f4nia colombiana perdeu quase\u00a0<strong>1,2 milh\u00e3o de acres<\/strong>\u00a0(478.000 hectares) de floresta entre 2016 e 2018. Destes, 73% (\u00a0<strong>860.000 acres<\/strong>\u00a0) eram\u00a0<strong>florestas prim\u00e1rias<\/strong>\u00a0(ver\u00a0<strong>Tabela 1<\/strong>\u00a0).<\/p>\n<p>Um dos principais\u00a0<strong>causadores do desmatamento<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0na regi\u00e3o \u00e9 a convers\u00e3o de \u00e1reas para pastagem, com vistas \u00e0 grilagem de terras ou \u00e0 cria\u00e7\u00e3o de gado.<\/p>\n<p>A seguir\u00a0, fornecemos uma atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o em tempo real de\u00a0<strong>2019<\/strong>\u00a0, com base em alertas florestais de alerta precoce (alertas GLAD) da Universidade de Maryland\/Global Forest Watch, atualizados at\u00e9 25 de julho de 2019.<\/p>\n<p>*O MAAP na Col\u00f4mbia representa uma colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazonconservation.org\/\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">a Amazon Conservation<\/a>\u00a0e seu parceiro colombiano, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fcds.org.co\/\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o e Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel (FCDS)<\/a>\u00a0.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div><\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_8417\" class=\"thumbnail alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/maaproject.org-maap-106-deforestation-impacts-4-protected-areas-in-the-colombian-amazon-2019-BM01-HSColAmz-July2019-250dpi-Eng-v2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8417 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/maaproject.org-maap-106-deforestation-impacts-4-protected-areas-in-the-colombian-amazon-2019-BM01-HSColAmz-July2019-250dpi-Eng-v2-742x580.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"679\" height=\"530\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Mapa base. Dados: UMD\/GLAD, RUNAP, RAISG<\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Desmatamento\u00a0<\/strong><strong>2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Os alertas GLAD estimam a perda adicional de\u00a0<strong>150.000 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(60.654 hectares) nos primeiros 7 meses de\u00a0<strong>2019<\/strong>\u00a0(at\u00e9 o final de julho). Destes, 75% (\u00a0<strong>113.000 acres<\/strong>\u00a0) eram\u00a0<strong>florestas prim\u00e1rias<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>O\u00a0<strong>Mapa Base<\/strong>\u00a0mostra que o desmatamento de 2019 afeta principalmente\u00a0<strong>4 \u00e1reas protegidas<\/strong>\u00a0* na Amaz\u00f4nia noroeste colombiana:\u00a0os Parques Nacionais\u00a0<strong>Tinigua<\/strong>\u00a0, Serran\u00eda de\u00a0<strong>Chiribiquete<\/strong>\u00a0e Sierra de la\u00a0<strong>Macarena<\/strong>\u00a0, e a Reserva Nacional\u00a0<strong>Nukak .<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A seguir\u00a0, detalhamos o desmatamento recente nessas quatro \u00e1reas protegidas da Amaz\u00f4nia colombiana, incluindo a apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o de uma s\u00e9rie de imagens de sat\u00e9lite.<\/p>\n<p>*Existem outras \u00e1reas protegidas na Amaz\u00f4nia colombiana com desmatamento recente (como os Parques Nacionais de Picachos e La Paya), mas aqui nos concentramos nas quatro com o maior desmatamento at\u00e9 agora em 2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_8418\" class=\"thumbnail alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/maaproject.org-maap-106-deforestation-impacts-4-protected-areas-in-the-colombian-amazon-2019-BM02-ColAmz-04ProtectedAreas-July2019-250dpi-Eng-v2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8418\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maapprogram.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/maaproject.org-maap-106-deforestation-impacts-4-protected-areas-in-the-colombian-amazon-2019-BM02-ColAmz-04ProtectedAreas-July2019-250dpi-Eng-v2-742x580.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"681\" height=\"532\" \/><\/a><div class=\"caption\">Protected Areas Zoom Map. Data: UMD\/GLAD, Hansen\/UMD\/Google\/USGS\/NASA, RUNAP, RAISG<\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Desmatamento em \u00c1reas Protegidas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Realizamos uma\u00a0<strong>an\u00e1lise de desmatamento<\/strong>\u00a0nas 4 \u00e1reas protegidas mencionadas acima (Chiribiquete, Tinigua, Macarena e Nukak), gerando os seguintes resultados principais:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Entre 2016 e 2018, o desmatamento consumiu mais de\u00a0\u00a0<strong>70.000 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(29.000 ha) nas quatro \u00e1reas protegidas, 86% dos quais eram florestas prim\u00e1rias (62.000 acres)<\/li>\n<li>At\u00e9 agora em\u00a0<strong>2019<\/strong>\u00a0(at\u00e9 25 de julho), o desmatamento consumiu mais\u00a0<strong>10.600 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(4.300 ha), 87% dos quais eram florestas prim\u00e1rias (9.200 acres)<\/li>\n<li><strong>O Parque Nacional de Tinigua<\/strong>\u00a0foi a \u00e1rea protegida mais impactada, com o desmatamento reivindicando\u00a0<strong>39.500 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(16.000 ha) de 2017-19 (96% dos quais eram florestas prim\u00e1rias). Esses dados s\u00e3o baseados em imagens Landsat de resolu\u00e7\u00e3o moderada (30 m). Para 2017-18, analisamos dados anuais (Hansen et al 2013) e, para 2019, analisamos alertas GLAD (Hansen et al 2016).<\/p>\n<p>Para nossas estimativas\u00a0<strong>de desmatamento<\/strong>\u00a0, multiplicamos os dados anuais de \u201cperda de cobertura florestal\u201d pela porcentagem de densidade da \u201ccobertura de \u00e1rvores\u201d do ano 2000 (valores &gt;30%). Incluir essa porcentagem nos permite olhar para a \u00e1rea precisa de cada pixel, melhorando assim a precis\u00e3o dos resultados.<\/p>\n<p>Definimos\u00a0<strong>floresta prim\u00e1ria<\/strong>\u00a0como \u201ccobertura florestal tropical \u00famida natural madura que n\u00e3o foi completamente desmatada e regenerada na hist\u00f3ria recente\u201d, seguindo a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de Turubanova et al 2018. Para nossas estimativas de desmatamento de floresta prim\u00e1ria, cruzamos os dados de perda de cobertura florestal com o conjunto de dados adicional \u201cflorestas tropicais \u00famidas prim\u00e1rias\u201d de 2001 (Turubanova et al 2018). Para mais detalhes sobre esta parte da metodologia, veja o\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.globalforestwatch.org\/data-and-research\/technical-blog:-global-forest-watch's-2018-data-update-explained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">Blog T\u00e9cnico<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0do Global Forest Watch (Goldman e Weisse 2019).<\/p>\n<p>Todos os dados foram processados \u200b\u200bsob o sistema de coordenadas geogr\u00e1ficas WGS 1984. Para calcular as \u00e1reas em unidades m\u00e9tricas foi utilizada a proje\u00e7\u00e3o UTM (Universal Transversal Mercator): Col\u00f4mbia 18 Norte.<\/p>\n<p>Para identificar os\u00a0<strong>hotspots de desmatamento<\/strong>\u00a0no Mapa Base, conduzimos uma estimativa de densidade kernel. Este tipo de an\u00e1lise calcula a magnitude por unidade de \u00e1rea de um fen\u00f4meno particular, neste caso, a perda de cobertura florestal. Conduzimos esta an\u00e1lise usando a ferramenta Kernel Density do Spatial Analyst Tool Box do ArcGIS.
