Dados: SERNANP, IBC, Hansen\/UMD\/Google\/USGS\/NASA, PNCB\/MINAM, GLCF\/UMD, ANA..<\/div><\/div>\n<p>As\u00a0<strong>florestas prim\u00e1rias<\/strong>\u00a0da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana, a segunda maior extens\u00e3o da Amaz\u00f4nia depois do Brasil, est\u00e3o diminuindo constantemente devido ao desmatamento.<\/p>\n<p>Aqui, analisamos dados hist\u00f3ricos e atuais para identificar os padr\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<u>boa not\u00edcia<\/u>\u00a0: como mostra o\u00a0<strong>Mapa Base<\/strong>\u00a0, a Amaz\u00f4nia peruana ainda abriga uma extensa floresta prim\u00e1ria.* Estimamos que a extens\u00e3o atual da floresta prim\u00e1ria da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana seja de\u00a0\u00a0<strong>67 milh\u00f5es de hectares<\/strong>\u00a0(165 milh\u00f5es de acres), maior que a \u00e1rea total da Fran\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 importante destacar que descobrimos que\u00a0<strong>48%<\/strong>\u00a0das florestas prim\u00e1rias atuais (32,2 milh\u00f5es de hectares) est\u00e3o localizadas em\u00a0<strong>\u00e1reas protegidas<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>territ\u00f3rios ind\u00edgenas<\/strong>\u00a0oficialmente reconhecidos (ver Anexo).**<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<u>m\u00e1 not\u00edcia<\/u>\u00a0: as florestas prim\u00e1rias da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana est\u00e3o diminuindo constantemente.<\/p>\n<p>Estimamos que a extens\u00e3o original das florestas prim\u00e1rias seja de 73,1 milh\u00f5es de hectares (180,6 milh\u00f5es de acres). Assim, houve uma\u00a0<strong>perda hist\u00f3rica<\/strong>\u00a0de\u00a0<strong>6,1 milh\u00f5es de hectares<\/strong>\u00a0(15 milh\u00f5es de acres), ou\u00a0<strong>8%<\/strong>\u00a0do original. Dados: SERNANP, IBC, Hansen\/UMD\/Google\/USGS\/NASA, PNCB\/MINAM, GLCF\/UMD, RAISG, Minist\u00e9rio da Cultura.<\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Anexo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>O Mapa Base com tr\u00eas categorias adicionais: \u00c1reas Protegidas, intituladas Comunidades Nativas e Reservas Ind\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Notas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>*Defini\u00e7\u00e3o de\u00a0<strong>floresta prim\u00e1ria<\/strong>\u00a0: De acordo com o Decreto Supremo (n\u00ba 018-2015-MINAGRI) que aprova o Regulamento de Gest\u00e3o Florestal sob a estrutura da nova Lei Florestal de 2011 (n\u00ba 29763), a defini\u00e7\u00e3o oficial de floresta prim\u00e1ria no Peru \u00e9: &#8220;Floresta com vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o original caracterizada por uma abund\u00e2ncia de \u00e1rvores maduras com esp\u00e9cies de dossel superior ou dominante, que evoluiu naturalmente&#8221;. Usando m\u00e9todos de sensoriamento remoto, nossa interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o dessa defini\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o \u00e1reas que, desde a primeira imagem dispon\u00edvel, s\u00e3o caracterizadas por densa cobertura de dossel fechado e n\u00e3o sofreram grandes eventos de desmatamento.<\/p>\n<p>Deve ser enfatizado que nossa defini\u00e7\u00e3o de floresta prim\u00e1ria n\u00e3o significa que a \u00e1rea seja intocada. Essas florestas prim\u00e1rias podem ter sido degradadas por extra\u00e7\u00e3o seletiva de madeira e ca\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>**Florestas prim\u00e1rias hist\u00f3ricas da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana: 73.188.344 hectares. Florestas prim\u00e1rias atuais da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana: 67.043.378 hectares. Desse total, 27,6% est\u00e3o localizados em \u00e1reas protegidas designadas (18,5 milh\u00f5es de hectares), 18% em Comunidades Nativas tituladas (12 milh\u00f5es de hectares) e 4% em Reservas Ind\u00edgenas\/Territ\u00f3rios designados para povos ind\u00edgenas em isolamento volunt\u00e1rio (2,9 milh\u00f5es de hectares). H\u00e1 alguma sobreposi\u00e7\u00e3o entre essas tr\u00eas categorias, e a porcentagem combinada final (48%) leva isso em considera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Metodologia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Para gerar a estimativa da extens\u00e3o original (hist\u00f3rica) de florestas prim\u00e1rias na Amaz\u00f4nia peruana, combinamos duas fontes de dados baseadas em sat\u00e9lite. Primeiro, usamos dados do Global Land Cover Facility (\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.landcover.org\/data\/landsatFCC\/\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">GLCF 2014<\/a>\u00a0), que estabeleceu uma linha de base de cobertura florestal a partir de 1990 (os produtos GLCF s\u00e3o baseados na cole\u00e7\u00e3o Landsat\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.landcover.org\/data\/gls\/\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">Global Land Survey<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0, que foi compilada para anos por volta de 1975, 1990, 2000 e 2005). As \u00e1reas sem dados devido a sombras e nuvens foram preenchidas com dados GLCF cobrindo o per\u00edodo de 2000-2005. A camada hist\u00f3rica de floresta prim\u00e1ria foi criada pela combina\u00e7\u00e3o das tr\u00eas camadas de dados GLCF a seguir: \u201cFloresta Persistente\u201d, \u201cGanho Florestal\u201d e \u201cPerda Florestal\u201d. Em seguida, incorporamos a camada de dados \u201cHidrografia\u201d gerada pelo Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente peruano (\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/geobosques.minam.gob.pe\/geobosque\/view\/index.php\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">Programa Nacional de Conservaci\u00f3n de Bosques<\/a>\u00a0) para evitar incluir corpos d\u2019\u00e1gua. Definimos o limite da an\u00e1lise como a bacia hidrogr\u00e1fica da Amaz\u00f4nia. Geralmente definimos \u201cfloresta prim\u00e1ria hist\u00f3rica da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana\u201d como a extens\u00e3o de florestas prim\u00e1rias antes da coloniza\u00e7\u00e3o europeia do Peru (por volta de 1750).<\/p>\n<p>Para gerar a estimativa das florestas prim\u00e1rias atuais, subtra\u00edmos as \u00e1reas determinadas para sofrer desmatamento ou perda florestal de 1990 a 2017. Para dados cobrindo 1990-2000, incorporamos dois conjuntos de dados: perda florestal GLCF 1990-2000 e \u201cNenhuma floresta em 2000\u201d (\u201cNenhum bosque al 2000\u201d) gerados pelo Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente peruano. Para dados cobrindo 2001-2016, usamos dados anuais gerados pelo Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente peruano. Finalmente, para 2017, usamos dados de alerta de alerta precoce gerados pelo Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente peruano. Como resultado, definimos florestas prim\u00e1rias atuais como uma \u00e1rea de floresta hist\u00f3rica sem perda florestal observ\u00e1vel (resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de 30 metros) de 1990 a 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Global Land Cover Facility (GLCF) e Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). 2014.
