Espera-se que ele aborde quest\u00f5es enfrentadas pela Amaz\u00f4nia e suas comunidades ind\u00edgenas, incluindo o desmatamento.<\/p>\n<p>Neste artigo, mostramos que\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Madre de Dios<\/strong>\u00a0est\u00e1 passando por uma crise de desmatamento, devido principalmente aos impactos da minera\u00e7\u00e3o de ouro, da agricultura de pequena escala e das estradas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Tabela 76<\/strong>\u00a0mostra a tend\u00eancia crescente de perda anual de florestas desde 2001, com pico em 2017. De fato, em 2017, a perda de florestas ultrapassou\u00a0<strong>20.000 hectares<\/strong>\u00a0(49.000 acres) pela primeira vez, dobrando a perda em 2008.*<\/p>\n<p>A tabela tamb\u00e9m mostra a\u00a0<strong>classifica\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>\u00a0de Madre de Dios em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 perda anual de floresta em compara\u00e7\u00e3o a todas as outras regi\u00f5es da Amaz\u00f4nia peruana (veja\u00a0<strong>a linha vermelha<\/strong>\u00a0). Pela primeira vez, Madre de Dios \u00e9 a regi\u00e3o com o segundo maior total de perda de floresta, atr\u00e1s apenas de Ucayali.<\/p>\n<p>A seguir, apresentamos um mapa dos pontos cr\u00edticos de desmatamento em Madre de Dios em 2017, juntamente com imagens de sat\u00e9lite de alguns dos pontos cr\u00edticos mais intensos.<\/p>\n<p>*A perda florestal total estimada em 2017 foi baseada em alertas de alertas antecipados gerados pela Universidade de Maryland (alertas GLAD) e pelo Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente do Peru (PNCB\/MINAM). A estimativa \u00e9 de 20.826 hectares na primeira semana de novembro.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Pontos cr\u00edticos de desmatamento em Madre de Dios<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>A Imagem 76<\/strong>\u00a0mostra um mapa de\u00a0<strong>hotspots de desmatamento<\/strong>\u00a0em\u00a0<strong>Madre de Dios<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0em\u00a0<strong>2017<\/strong>\u00a0, com base em dados de perda florestal de alerta precoce. As cores amarelo (baixo), laranja (m\u00e9dio\/alto) e vermelho (muito alto) correspondem \u00e0s \u00e1reas com maior concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de alertas, ou seja, os principais hotspots de desmatamento de 2017. Observe como a maior parte da perda florestal est\u00e1 concentrada ao longo da\u00a0<strong>rodovia Interoce\u00e2nica<\/strong>\u00a0recentemente pavimentada .<\/p>\n<p>Em seguida, mostramos imagens de sat\u00e9lite para\u00a0\u00a0<strong>7 hotspots (Insets AG)<\/strong>\u00a0que juntos respondem pelo desmatamento de 6.000 hectares (15.000 acres). Dados: PNBC\/MINAM, UMD\/GLAD<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>La Pampa<\/strong>\u00a0(Inser\u00e7\u00e3o A)<\/h3>\n<p>A \u00e1rea conhecida como La Pampa continua a sofrer desmatamento significativo devido ao avan\u00e7o da\u00a0<strong>minera\u00e7\u00e3o de ouro<\/strong>\u00a0. Apesar de uma s\u00e9rie de interven\u00e7\u00f5es de campo pelo Governo Peruano, documentamos o desmatamento de\u00a0<strong>1.385 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(560 hectares) em 2017 (\u00a0<strong>Imagem 76a<\/strong>\u00a0). Dados: Planeta<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Malinowski superior<\/strong>\u00a0(inser\u00e7\u00e3o B)<\/h3>\n<p>A montante de La Pampa, as nascentes do Rio Malinowski representam uma segunda \u00e1rea devastada pelo recente avan\u00e7o da\u00a0\u00a0<strong>minera\u00e7\u00e3o de ouro<\/strong>\u00a0. N\u00f3s documentamos o desmatamento de\u00a0<strong>1.795 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(726 hectares) em 2017 ao longo do alto Malinowski (\u00a0<strong>Imagem 76b<\/strong>\u00a0). Dados: Planet, ESA<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Santa Rita e\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Guacamayo<\/strong>\u00a0(inser\u00e7\u00f5es C e D)<\/h3>\n<p>Ao norte das \u00e1reas de minera\u00e7\u00e3o de La Pampa e Upper Malinowski, e do outro lado da rodovia Interoce\u00e2nica, h\u00e1 duas \u00e1reas com desmatamento recente significativo devido \u00e0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>agricultura<\/strong>\u00a0de pequena escala . Nessas duas \u00e1reas, documentamos o desmatamento de\u00a0<strong>2.890 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(1.170 hectares) em 2017 (\u00a0<strong>Imagens 76c, 76d<\/strong>\u00a0). Dados: Planeta<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Ib\u00e9ria<\/strong>\u00a0(Inser\u00e7\u00e3o E)<\/h3>\n<p>Do outro lado de Madre de Dios, ao longo da Rodovia Interoce\u00e2nica, perto da fronteira com o Brasil e a Bol\u00edvia, fica a cidade de Iberia. Esta \u00e1rea se tornou um grande foco de desmatamento nos \u00faltimos anos. N\u00f3s documentamos o desmatamento de\u00a0<strong>2.250 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(910 hectares) em 2017 (\u00a0<strong>Imagem 76e<\/strong>\u00a0). Desde 2014, o desmatamento total ao redor de Iberia \u00e9 de\u00a0<strong>6.795 acres<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0(2.750) hectares. Uma grande parte do desmatamento est\u00e1 dentro de concess\u00f5es florestais, indicando que essas concess\u00f5es foram invadidas. Dados: Planeta<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Tahuamanu<\/strong>\u00a0(Inser\u00e7\u00e3o F)<\/h3>\n<p>A oeste da Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica, surgiu um hotspot isolado causado pela r\u00e1pida prolifera\u00e7\u00e3o de estradas de explora\u00e7\u00e3o madeireira. Este hotspot est\u00e1 localizado dentro de uma concess\u00e3o florestal, mas seu impacto \u00e9 preocupante devido \u00e0 extens\u00e3o e densidade da nova rede rodovi\u00e1ria. Dados: Planeta<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Las Piedras<\/strong>\u00a0(Inser\u00e7\u00e3o G)<\/h3>\n<p>Finalmente, o desmatamento continua dentro de duas\u00a0<strong>concess\u00f5es de ecoturismo<\/strong>\u00a0ao longo do\u00a0<strong>Rio Las Piedras<\/strong>\u00a0, uma \u00e1rea remota famosa por sua vida selvagem excepcional (veja este\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/126938814\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"6182f4e07f71b7b1555341c3\">v\u00eddeo<\/a>\u00a0). N\u00f3s documentamos o desmatamento de\u00a0<strong>300 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(134 hectares) em 2017 (\u00a0<strong>Imagem 76g<\/strong>\u00a0). Desde 2013, o desmatamento total ao longo do Rio Las Piedras \u00e9 de\u00a0\u00a0<strong>1.495 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(605 hectares). Observe que a Concess\u00e3o de Ecoturismo Las Piedras Amazon Center representa uma barreira eficaz contra o desmatamento que impacta as concess\u00f5es ao redor.
