Essas fortes tempestades de vento (n\u00e3o verdadeiros furac\u00f5es) causam uma rea\u00e7\u00e3o em cadeia de \u00e1rvores ca\u00eddas e podem derrubar centenas de acres de floresta amaz\u00f4nica (veja a imagem do drone abaixo).<\/p>\n<p>Este relat\u00f3rio apresenta uma an\u00e1lise da frequ\u00eancia e intensidade dos ventos de furac\u00f5es na Amaz\u00f4nia peruana nos \u00faltimos\u00a0<strong>13 anos<\/strong>\u00a0(2005-17). Encontramos um total de\u00a0<strong>37 eventos de ventos de furac\u00f5es<\/strong>\u00a0resultando na derrubada de\u00a0<strong>19.275 acres<\/strong>\u00a0(7.800 hectares) entre 2005 e 2017 na Amaz\u00f4nia peruana. Observe os seguintes destaques:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 A maioria dos eventos ocorreu nas regi\u00f5es de Loreto e Madre de Dios.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Em Loreto, a maioria dos eventos ocorreu desde 2013; em Madre de Dios, a maioria ocorreu desde 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Houve\u00a0<strong>7 grandes eventos<\/strong>\u00a0em mais de 150 hectares (370 acres) cada. Decidimos avaliar ambos os bancos de dados devido aos diferentes crit\u00e9rios de exclus\u00e3o de \u00e1reas em locais remotos. Para a an\u00e1lise, foram considerados apenas eventos que resultaram em perda florestal de 30 hectares ou mais.<\/li>\n<li>Determinamos a perda florestal natural por meio da interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o visual do padr\u00e3o em forma de leque desses fen\u00f4menos naturais. Esse padr\u00e3o foi ent\u00e3o validado com as imagens de alta e m\u00e9dia resolu\u00e7\u00e3o dos anos em que a perda foi detectada.<\/li>\n<li>Identificar o per\u00edodo no ano em que esses eventos aconteceram, para os anos de 2015, 2016 e 2017, foi determinado inicialmente sob o calend\u00e1rio juliano, que \u00e9 compat\u00edvel com a tabela de atributos do banco de dados de perdas florestais. Consequentemente, utilizamos grandes s\u00e9ries de imagens cont\u00ednuas de alta resolu\u00e7\u00e3o para reduzir o per\u00edodo em que esses eventos poderiam ter ocorrido.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"fitem-sep\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Refer\u00eancias<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Planet Team (2017).
