Ventos fortes dessas tempestades localizadas podem derrubar centenas de acres de floresta de uma s\u00f3 vez.<\/p>\n<p>Em janeiro de 2017,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/glad.geog.umd.edu\/alarm\/openlayers.html\">os alertas de perda de \u00e1rvores do GLAD<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0indicaram dois novos eventos de ventos de furac\u00e3o na Amaz\u00f4nia peruana do sul (regi\u00e3o de Madre de Dios). Abaixo, mostramos imagens de alta resolu\u00e7\u00e3o desses casos. O primeiro \u00e9 um grande evento de ventos de furac\u00e3o que derrubou 780 acres (Imagem 55a). A imagem 55c mostra o seguinte padr\u00e3o: padr\u00e3o em forma de leque de perda florestal com uma orienta\u00e7\u00e3o definida seguindo a dire\u00e7\u00e3o dos ventos da tempestade.
